Make a Chimp Smile!: My name is Brandon and I am 13 years old. I love all animals but Great Apes are my favorite. My goal is to help fundraise for Great Ape sanctuaries. Many Chimpanzees from labs have been released to sanctuaries and they are in need of food and vet care. Also, there are still many Chimpanzees being housed in private pharmaceuticals companies and I am hoping more people will become aware of this and speak out of them. They need our help! Another concern that I would like all of you to be aware of is the devastation of the palm oil plantations. Palm oil plantations are the cause of deforestation in Indonesia and Malaysia. Orangutans in Borneo and Sumatra are at risk and dying because of this. Africa is also being affected by the palm oil plantations which is a danger to the Chimpanzees.
